Yale New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael's Campus MEP Infrastructure Upgrades

Preparation of a comprehensive assessment of the existing 800,000 SF main campus. Primarily focused on MEP systems, the assessment included a review of the systems for condition and code compliance. Because the majority of MEP systems were original to the facility (1970's), they had exceeded their equipment life cycle. Air handling units, chillers, cooling towers, generators, paralleling gear, switchgear, separation of normal and emergency power, addition of critical 2 branch, fire pump, and medical gases systems were designed and replaced. MEP infrastructure upgrades were completed with minimal disruption to the hospital and occurring renovations to the ORs, cath lab, medical surgery floors, orthopedics, and pharmacy.
