New 610,000 SF replacement facility of the existing Children's Hospital. The new building is connected to Ashley River Tower on two levels via bridges, sharing services such as nuclear medicine and central sterile processing. In addition to a relocated pediatric emergency department, hospital programs include cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology, endoscopy, radiology/fluoroscopy, and imaging services (CT, MRI). The pavilion provides 12 operating rooms (nine dedicated to pediatrics) and 98 medical/surgical beds, as well as procedure rooms, pediatric clinical exam rooms, labor/delivery/recovery rooms, antepartum/postpartum/gynecology beds, pediatric critical care unit, neonatal intensive care unit, and a nursery. Hospital parking garage access is available via a pedestrian bridge connector. The project includes a helicopter pad.
