155,000 SF biomedical and biochemistry research building with integral boiler and chiller plant, built adjacent to an existing wetland and historically significant botanical garden. The building houses an imaging / NMR suite, including two 500Mhz units, a 300Mhz unit, and two scanning electron microscopes. The project also included an 11,000 SF vivarium facility, as well as a cage wash area with staging, soiled, clean zones, and a sterilized storage area; feed and bedding storage; surgical suite; necropsy area; vet lab and pharmacy; quarantine and isolation areas; and animal holding rooms with associated procedure rooms and support lab spaces. LEED Silver Certified.
