UMASS Dartmouth, School for Marine Science and Technology (SMAST) New Academic Research Building

MEP/FP engineering, sustainability, and IT services for the study, programming, lab planning, design, and construction of an 80,000 SF academic marine science research building, as well as renovations to existing facilities for the Department of Fisheries and Oceanography, Department of Estuarine and Ocean Sciences, and Department of Marine Fisheries. This building provides space for research and teaching laboratories (wet chemistry, computational, and dry), laboratory support, classrooms, conference spaces and offices, as well as community outreach and partnership programs. Targeting LEED Gold and 50% energy reduction compared to a typical marine research facility.
