WORCESTER MEDICAL CENTER
Worcester, Massachusetts

Replacement Medical Center. The Medical City combines facilities for the Fallon Clinic, Fallon Community Health Plan (an HMO) and Saint Vincent Hospital. The center includes a 299-bed, 475,000 SF acute-care hospital, a 155,000 SF medical office building; 45,000 SF retail area; 15,000 SF public atrium and structured parking for 1,900 cars.


BRONSON METHODIST HOSPITAL
Kalamazoo, Michigan

Phase I Replacement Facility. Hospital expansion to develop a new integrated campus to consolidate in and outpatient services, corresponding administrative offices, parking and patient amenities. Project involved 746,000 SF of new construction including a 183,000 SF Ambulatory Care Center and 340,000 SF, 286-bed Inpatient Facility, a 223,000 SF medical office building for more than 150 physicians and a 750+ car-parking garage connected at all 5 levels.


DARTMOUTH HITCHCOCK MEDICAL CENTER
Lebanon, New Hampshire

Facility Expansion and Renovation. Extensive facility expansion and renovation project including a new 220,000 SF, five-story Ambulatory Care Facility (Building 11); 310,000 SF renovation and expansion to the Diagnostic and Treatment Facility (Building 2) including a new Emergency Department, expanded OR’s and an NMR suite; a 100,000 SF laboratory expansion for the Norris Cotton Cancer Center; a 90,000 SF connector to house a food court / retail space and expansion of the Central Plant (Building 10).


DARTMOUTH HITCHCOCK MEDICAL CENTER
Lebanon, New Hampshire
 

Hospital Replacement Facility. 1,200,000 SF complex integrating activities of Dartmouth Medical School, Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital and the Hitchcock Clinic. The project includes:

  • 178,500 SF, 328-bed Inpatient Care Building
  • 392,000 SF Diagnostic Treatment Facility
  • 163,000 SF Physician Clinic
  • 148,000 SF Medical School Facility
  • 208,000 SF Biomedical Research Building
  • 130,000 SF Cancer Treatment Center
  • 21,000 SF Remote Energy Plant with Ice Storage refrigeration System
  • The Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center received a national First Place 1994 ASHRAE Technology Award “Recognizing Outstanding Achievement in the Design and Operation of Energy-Efficient Buildings;” as well as a 1993 Energy Efficient building Award “Recognizing Excellence and Innovation in Energy Efficiency and Building Management” presented by Energy User News. The project received Special Recognition in the Design 2000 Program, the 1994 National Awards Program for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy from the US Department of Energy.
