HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL
Boston, Massachusetts

Harvard Institutes of Medicine. Commissioning for the 300,000 SF renovation of former Boston English High School building to contain biomedical research facilities for Harvard Medical School and other Longwood Medical Area institutions. Ten floors of research laboratories and one floor of animal facilities.


HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL
Boston, Massachusetts

Warren Alpert Building (formerly the East Quadrangle Research Facility). Commissioning for the new 196,000 SF Biomedical Research Building containing laboratories, offices and barrier-type animal holding facilities. Houses Harvard Medical School's Departments of Genetics and Neurobiology, and the Center for Blood Research.


PFIZER INC.
Groton, Connecticut

Building B126 Ð Central Research Division. Commissioning for the renovation and expansion of an existing 41,000 SF laboratory into 47,500 SF.


BETH ISRAEL HOSPITAL
Boston, Massachusetts

The Clinical Center. Commissioning for the 690,500 SF, major new expansion of the hospital's facilities for ambulatory care and medical education. The twelve story structure houses numerous Specialty Care Physician Group practices, outpatient radiology, ambulatory surgery (eight operating rooms), cardiac and physical rehabilitation services, 22,000 SF of hematology/oncology facilities with an MRI and an employee fitness center. Project also includes a five-story atrium with two levels of retail and commercial tenants, and a five-story, 750-car underground-parking garage.


NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY
Evanston, Illinois

CEAR Ð Searle 13 East. Commissioning of this 3,000 SF Animal Laboratory Facility.


OBERLIN COLLEGE
Oberlin, Ohio

Undergraduate Science Facility. Commissioning for the new 180,000 SF science facility housing the Departments of Biology, Chemistry, Neuroscience and Physics. Project also involves an animal facility, science library and chiller upgrade.


WORCESTER MEDICAL CENTER
Worcester, Massachusetts

Replacement Medical Center. Commissioning for the new Medical City Project, which combines facilities for the Fallon Clinic, Fallon Community Health Plan (an HMO) and Saint Vincent Hospital. The center includes a 299-bed, 433,000 SF acute-care hospital; a 170,000 SF medical office building; 45,000 SF retail area; 20,000 SF public atrium and structured parking for 1,400 cars.


SHRINERS HOSPITALS FOR CHILDREN
Multiple Locations

Sacramento, California. Study of existing vibration problems related to penthouse air handling equipment. Work included field-testing of vibration and airflows to determine the sources and cause of vibration with recommendations for solution. Completion mid-September 1998.

Burns Institute, Boston, Massachusetts. Peer review for design of the Phase 2 engineering of the lower floors of the building. Work included calculations, code review, plan review, final report and meetings with the Owner, Contractor and Engineer-of-Record to discuss the results. Completion in April 1998.


Greenville, South Carolina. Peer review for design of the engineering of the replacement of the building's HVAC systems. Work included calculations, code review, plan review, final report and meetings with the Owner, Contractor and Engineer-of-Record to discuss the results. Completion in December 1998.

Tampa, Florida. Space Re-utilization Study to identify deficiencies in existing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection in anticipation of future space planning.
