Leading the way with Building Information Modeling

Bard, Rao + Athanas Consulting Engineers (BR+A) utilizes Revit MEP 2010 and AutoCAD MEP 2010 for Building Information Modeling and 3D Design as well as Autodesk Navisworks Manage 2010 for collision detection and 3D Design Review.
BR+A is leading the way with Building Information Modeling (BIM). With our competition in the beginning stages of 3D software use, we are one of very few MEP Engineers on the East Coast to have a project completed which was designed completely using a BIM concept.
The Glickman Tower at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio is a new 288,000 SF state-of-the-art building featuring a roof-top helipad and houses the Glickman Urological Institute and the Department of Nephrology and Hypertension. This $60,000,000 project was designed using BIM software and construction was completed in August of 2008.
Additional projects that are currently in the design process or will be designed utilizing a BIM concept include the following:
- New Women’s Hospital – Long Island Jewish Medical Center (Under construction)
- Stamford Hospital – Clinical Expansion Project
- Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia – New Ambulatory Care Center
